though musically talented (performing and arranging), it seems like a lot of their attractiveness is in their personalities that come through in film, and the cinematography itself. seeing the instruments and seeing them have fun in their cramped apartment that starvingyethappyartist vibe that gets music lovers. i'm afraid if they didn't have the visual aid, their sound would have less endurance. but then Jack did get a theremin for christmas...

Oh, "Favorite Things" is amazing. I like how they switch between 5/4 and 3/4. Other greats are "La Vie en Rose," and "Makin' Out." Not to mention their original stuff. They just keep getting better and better. "Hail Mary" was stuck in my head for at least three weeks straight after hearing it for the first time. Have you heard her solo cover of "Seven Nation Army?"

Nataly's harmonies in general are killer. But especially in "Favorite Things."

I've loved and been inspired by Pomplamoose for a while now. They're so innovative and spunky! Probably my favorite covers of theirs are "September" and "All The Single Ladies." They're even great live! I went to go see their show at the Brainwash Cafe in San Fran. It was packed! Picture 500+ people jammed into a small cafe with a maximum capacity of 46...needless to say, they were a little hard to hear, but still great.
